Where culture meets technology.

Santal Dev takes its name from the Santal community. The name is a reminder of where the team comes from, and of a way of working we try to carry into every project.

The name

What Santal means to us

The Santal are one of the largest Indigenous communities in South Asia, known for craftsmanship, patient work, and a strong sense of community — homes and tools made carefully, by hand, to last.

We're a software company, not a cultural organisation. But that heritage shapes how we work: care in the details, decisions made together, and a preference for building things properly over building them fast.

Rooted in culture, built for the future.

Four things we try to get right

Craftsmanship

Details matter. We finish the parts people don't see with the same care as the parts they do.

Built together

Work happens in the open — shared decisions, code review, and no one solving hard problems alone.

Made to last

We build systems that can be maintained and extended years from now, not just shipped once.

Passing it on

We invest time in helping newer developers around us learn and get their first real experience.
